The first week of February brought us Children’s Mental Health week. Children’s mental health is extremely important, and we really wanted to spread awareness with a fun packed week. Including highlighting things, we usually do to support the children’s wellbeing.
At Swinbrook House Marylebone we include mindfulness time and meditation for our Swan Class in the daily routine. The children will listen to some guided meditation and complete some colouring in of their choice. This brings a little bit of calm to our busy and stimulating day. The children in both Cygnet Class and Swan Class will take part in Yoga classes weekly too. These sessions support children’s development in many areas, including physical and personal, social and emotional development.
For the main event of the week, we planned a pyjama day! All the children took part as did the teachers and we posted lots about it on our social media to spread awareness and raise money for “Place2Be”.
Swinbrook House Marylebone is very proud to have taken part and to have raised £100!
