Welcome to Swinbrook House Nursery School
A Happy Place to Learn!
Swinbrook House Nursery School Marylebone is a small light-filled nursery for children of age 1 year to 5 years, just off Marylebone High Street and minutes from Regent's Park. We pride ourselves in giving your little ones the best possible start in life and believe that the first steps onto the education pathway should be a happy and secure time for all concerned. Through individual care, fun play and, discovery activities in line with Early Years Foundation Stage we deliver progression and development for all our children ensuring happiness and exploration that will increase their skills and self-esteem as they grow in readiness for the school years ahead.
We support our families, work closely with parents to provide the very best care and support for our children, valuing every individual, building confidence and laying a firm foundation on which they can build their future education. The small numbers that we care for means that every child receives excellent individual attention and education from specific members of staff, responsible for their care.
History of the School
The nursery school was opened in 2011 under the name ‘Marylebone Village Nursery’ and is growing from strength to strength, having to move premises in January 2019 to the lovely new building in Oldbury Place. It gained new ownership at the same point and has become part of the Chatsworth Schools group, gaining much from the group itself as well as its sister schools and nurseries;
- Duchess Nursery Parson's Green (12 months - 5 years co-education)
- Benedict House, Sidcup (3-11 years co-education)
- Crown House, High Wycombe (3-11 years co-education)
- Griffin House, Aylesbury (3-11 years co-education)
- Hall School, Wimbledon (4-16 years co-education)
- Pattison College, Coventry (3-18+ years co-education specialising in the performing arts)
- The Village School, Hampstead (3-11 years girls)

Partnership with parents
We believe in building strong partnerships with parents and that clear communication between nursery and parents is important to support your child's development throughout their journey with us.
We are happy to give parents daily feedback at drop off and collection times. For children under 3 years we also provide a daily record update via our online learning journey “My Nursery Child”; this includes, sleep times, nappy changes and meal time information.
Parent's evenings are held termly to more formally review your child's progress and development; this provides the opportunity to discuss a written report and to talk about concerns or anything positive with your key person. We also regularly welcome parents into the Nursery for specific events and for atermly "Stay and Play" sessions.
