Settling In
We recognise the importance of ensuring a child feels happy, secure and welcome at our nursery school so offer a highly inclusive and supportive environment and a smooth settling in process. When your child starts nursery, we offer a three day settling in programme to help the family feel comfortable in the environment. Each child is allocated a key person who is instrumental in this process. We feel this is an important part in helping the child and the parents to feel relaxed and ready for their time at the nursery.
The key person has special responsibilities for working with a small number of children. They aim to give the child the reassurance to feel safe and cared for, ensuring they are happy, secure and making progress. They build a genuine bond with the child and their parents, developing a special relationship that always fosters the best interests of their child.
